Acclaimed Celebrity Make-up Artist Tracy Kennedy has passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 . Kennedy was known to have a heart and talent that were as big as his over-the-top fashion choices. Known mostly for making the faces of Rihanna, Brittany Spears, Fantasia and scores of other Hollywood darlings look flawless, Kennedy was a also multi-talented artist. He hosted a YouTube channel called Apollo Night LA Radio with guests that included industry darling, Keke Palmer, and made appearances on Taboo (Weird Weddings) and OWN’s "Raising Whitley".
Few knew that Tracy Kennedy was a recording artist and a tremendous singer who was part of a group in the 80’s called TSP (Tracy, Sherron, Pam). As award-winning recording artist and friend to Kennedy, Norwood Young, would say, “Tracy can sing his face off!” In fact, in October 2014, Tracy told the world via Twitter, “I am a celebrity makeup artist, but I am transitioning into a full time singer/entertainer.”
Tracy was also a friend to me. He was a giant of a man, eclipsing 6'6', who was so tender and kind! He was full of compliments, and had a bigger than life appearance; yet, could quietly fade into a room full of people and just observe! My pre-teen daughters marveled at his ginormous rings and sparkly garb. But they most enjoyed his corny sense of humor and brilliant smile.

Tracy received a prognosis that his disease was terminal within the past year. In grand style, Kennedy gathered his friends over recent months to discuss their wonderful relationships. Kennedy continued to support his friends in the entertainment industry by attending their events, including a magazine launch party for Kym Whitley in July.
Tracy will be missed but his "spirit, light and persona" will live on forever.
